The Role

As a Senior Logistic Engineer, you will be part of the Logistic Engineering Team within the General Logistics Division. This team supports multiple logistics branches and their customers with new customer implementations, tender documentation, innovation projects, and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with the Manager Logistic Engineering and frequently visit logistics branches across the country.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design

• Analyze inbound and outbound flows to determine the ideal location for customers
• Translate customer requirements and data into warehouse layouts and process flows
• Perform cost analyses including labor, investments, and IT requirements
• Design logistics solutions and support the quotation process with sales and operations
• Present findings and proposals to internal stakeholders and external clients
• Advanced Excel skills and/or other data tools are essential

2. Tender Support

• Evaluate which site is best suited for a new customer
• Create professional and tailored tender documentation based on data and insights

3. Implementation Management

• Develop project plans and lead or support multidisciplinary implementation teams
• Monitor progress, budget, and stakeholder communication
• Coordinate go-live activities with internal and external stakeholders
• Also involved in change implementations for existing customers

4. Innovation

• Analyze existing warehouse and logistics processes to identify improvement opportunities
• Research and select relevant technologies (e.g., AGVs, cobots, process automation)
• Coordinate pilot projects and evaluate outcomes

Share results with stakeholders across the European logistics network

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Logistics, Operations, or Management
• 3–5 years of experience in a logistics engineering or similar role
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with WMS systems (preferably AS400)
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Tableau is a plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred (due to travel to logistics sites)
